Dhammakaya International Society of Australia Inc. participated in Ring the Bell event to start Australia's Centenary of Frederation On January 1st, 2001 at 3.55pm Eastern Daylight Time, in one nationwide moment, bells simultaneously rang in cities, towns and rural areas of Australia.

The Celebration of the Centenary of Federation of Australia - 2001

A programme of four events endorsed by the National Council of the Centenary of Federation as part of the federation celebrations. This programme was called “G’day, It’s a Good Day”. The events comprising the programme were an art competition, a poetry competition, an essay competition and a novice ordination.
